Dr. Wen is a physiatrist with Orthopedics International, and a member of the Active Medical Staff at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Wen’s areas of expertise are in non-operative and minimally invasive spine care, musculoskeletal medicine, and electrodiagnosis.
Dr. Wen received his medical degree in 1991 from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He then went on to complete an internship and residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from the University of Washington Affiliated Hospitals in Seattle, Washington. In 1997, Dr. Wen continued his medical training by participating in a Research Enrichment Program for Physiatrists through the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).
Prior to joining Orthopedics International, Dr. Wen served as an Attending Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, with an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School. From 2000-2005, he practiced out of the Swedish Pain Center at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Wen is an active member of numerous prestigious medical organizations such as the North American Spine Society, the International Spinal Intervention Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington.
Dr. Wen has extensive teaching experience and has made numerous presentations at major medical meetings across the country. Originally from East Lansing Michigan, Dr. Wen now lives in the Seattle area.
